Why Organic Hemp Seed Oil Is Good For Your Skin

Hemp Seed Oil is suitable for men and women of all ages. It is designed for hydrating and improving the health of our skin through this completely natural and unrefined compound known as cold pressed hemp seed oil.

Our Kōaka hemp seed oil is produced by cold pressing New Zealand grown hemp seed. It's a clear, green oil with a light nutty/earthy fragrance. This is suitable for a range of skin conditions or for simply maintaining a healthy skin profile.

It does this by moisturising the skin without clogging the pores. This not only allows for the hydration of dry skin but also helps regulate natural oil production from our skin which may be overproducing and therefore causing conditions such as acne.

It leaves no residue and is absorbed quickly into the skin.

What You Need to Know About Hemp Seed Oil

Kōaka Moisturising Serum also provides an good supply of active botanicals Vitamin B6, C and D and antioxidants (Vitamin E), carotene (precursor to Vitamin A), phytosterols, phospholipids and a number of minerals including calcium, magnesium, sulfur, potassium, phosphorus, along with modest amounts of iron and zinc. Hemp seed oil also provides a good source of chlorophyll.

Hempseed oil is over 80% polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) with a 3:1 ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 which is considered optimal for human health especially playing a role in regulation and development of immunity.

The oil has high amounts of the omega 6 metabolite GLA which is anti-inflammatory. The GLA also produces prostaglandin E1 which reduces the effect of prolactin - a hormone thought to contribute to premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms

It is also a great source of vitamin E - for healthy skin, immunity and eye health.

It has a wide variety of benefits from dandruff relief to acne management.
